Why there is no consent banner ★

Because we only use strictly necessary cookies. Cookies that are essential to providing a service the user asked for do not require prior consent under the EU ePrivacy Directive or the UK PECR. We would need a banner the moment we added analytics or advertising — so we do not add them.

Cookies we use

Both are first-party cookies set with HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Lax. Neither is used to profile you or to track you across other sites.

The one script we load from elsewhere

The sign-up and resend forms run a bot check, Cloudflare Turnstile. It loads from challenges.cloudflare.com and sets no cookie. It exists so that automated sign-ups cannot send email to addresses that did not ask for it. Cloudflare processes your IP address, browser user agent and TLS fingerprint for that check only, as our processor.

Third-party analytics scripts
Cross-site identifiers

If we need web analytics, we will use only Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and stores no personal identifiers.

Controlling cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block bmp_session you will not be able to stay signed in; if you block bmp_lang the site will display in English on every visit.
